Le isole Lofoten, arcipelago della Norvegia situato oltre il Circolo Polare Artico, sono oggi una delle destinazioni più affascinanti per gli amanti della natura. Grazie alla Corrente del Golfo, il clima è sorprendentemente mite e permette di vivere la magia di questo territorio in ogni stagione. Qui montagne spettacolari si tuffano direttamente nel mare, incorniciando pittoreschi villaggi di pescatori. In estate il sole di mezzanotte illumina il paesaggio per 24 ore al giorno, mentre in inverno il cielo si accende con le straordinarie sfumature verdi dell'aurora boreale. Mi chiamo Paolo, sono italiano e, dopo una carriera da manager, nella (una volta) prospera e grassa emilia durante il mio primo viaggio alle Lofoten mi sono innamorato della straordinaria bellezza di questo arcipelago e del suo ritmo lento, autentico e lontano dallo stress della vita quotidiana. Dal 2006 vivo qui e lavoro come guida, per le grosse navi da crociera e per i registi di documentari come Ulisse, NatGeo, France2, Das Erste e accompagno piccoli gruppi, fino a un massimo di 6 persone, alla scoperta delle Lofoten più autentiche, lungo itinerari lontani dal turismo di massa. Il mio obiettivo è farvi conoscere le Lofoten attraverso gli occhi di chi le vive ogni giorno, portandovi in luoghi unici e regalandovi un'esperienza indimenticabile.

Ogni escursione è pensata per farvi vivere questo straordinario arcipelago con i tempi giusti, condividendo la mia esperienza e la conoscenza di un territorio che ho scelto di chiamare casa. Col mio Multivan VW 4 ruote motrici potremo visitare le isole nel massimo del confort e della sicurezza, 7 posti comodi, per recarci nei posti più "autentici" delle Lofoten. Il VAN a differenza dei bus si muove a suo agio nelle strettissime strade delle isole e consente di raggiungere antici villaggi di pescatori spiaggie, fiordi irraggiungibili con mezzi più grandi, le quattro ruote motrici garantiscono stabilità sugli asfalti che da settembre a maggio potrebbero essere ghiacciati.

Il "Periodo Scuro"
Il Mørketid "periodo scuro" è il periodo invernale in cui il sole non sorge all'orizzonte. A Gravdal e nel resto delle Lofoten, l'oscurità dura all'incirca dal 9 dicembre al 4 gennaio. Anche se il sole non è visibile, non è buio pesto tutto il giorno. Grazie alla luce del giorno e al crepuscolo, si possono goderedi alcune ore di una luce caratteristica, lilla, violetta, rossa arancione e, di notte, la magia delle aurore boreali. The "Dark Period" The "Mørketid" "dark period" is the winter period when the sun doesn't rise above the horizon. Approfittando del fatto che alle Lofoen abbimo due porti di attracco, Svolvær e Stamsund, organizzo tutti i giorni escursioni di tre ore attraverso luoghi non toccati dal turismo di massa con partenza da Svolvær e arrivo a Stamsund o viceversa, minimo due passeggeri max sei passeggeri.
